How to Cite Our Data

The data, findings, and charts we publish on the GuideGlare website — particularly through our data studies — may be freely cited by journalists, bloggers, and researchers. This page explains how to do so and which uses require a license.

Citing Individual Data Points

Individual data points, statements, or short excerpts from our analyses may be cited, subject to the conditions set out by copyright law, in particular for the purposes of reporting, criticism, review, or scholarly or similar work. We would appreciate it if you credited the source with an active link.

Use of Charts, Embedded Interactive Visualizations, and Datasets

Beyond ordinary citation, we grant a free license to:

reprint our charts in their original form (including the watermark),
embed an interactive chart where we offer embed code for it,
use a larger set of data within a single article or study,

subject to the following license conditions:

attribution by means of an active hyperlink to the source page, displayed visibly next to the reused content,
no alteration of the content of the charts, in particular no removal of the watermark or logo,
no further sublicensing or sale,
The license is non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and granted for an indefinite period until revoked by the licensor. Explicaire s.r.o. is entitled to revoke the license at any time. Revocation of the license does not affect uses made in accordance with these terms before the moment of revocation. In the event of a breach of these terms, or of use of the content in a manner liable to mislead the public as to the origin of the content, its authorship, or its endorsement by Explicaire s.r.o., or that unjustifiably harms its reputation, trademarks, or other rights, Explicaire s.r.o. is entitled to terminate the license with immediate effect.

By using a chart, embed code, or downloaded file, you accept these terms.

For uses beyond this scope — bulk downloading of the dataset, commercial redistribution, or creating your own visualizations from our raw data — please write to us at info@explicaire.com.

For the purposes of these terms, a "dataset" means, in particular, a file of data made available for download, or another set of files representing a substantial part of the published database.

Legal Framework

The GuideGlare database of published data, including its selection, arrangement, and presentation, is protected by the sui generis database right (Sections 88 et seq. of the Czech Copyright Act, Act No. 121/2000 Coll.), a substantial investment having been made in obtaining, verifying, and presenting its contents.
The accompanying texts and graphic design are a copyrighted work of Explicaire s.r.o.
Without prior written consent, it is prohibited to systematically extract a substantial part of the database, or to repeatedly extract insubstantial parts of it in a manner contrary to copyright law. This includes, in particular, automated scraping and bulk machine downloading.
Text and data mining (TDM) reservation: Within the meaning of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790, Explicaire s.r.o. expressly reserves the right to exclude text and data mining of the content of its data studies for the purposes of Article 4 of that directive, in particular commercial mining and the training of artificial intelligence models. The affected pages, and thus the data published on them, carry a machine-readable reservation (the tdm-reservation meta tag).

Accuracy of and Responsibility for the Data

Although we strive for the accuracy and currency of the published data, we do not warrant its completeness or fitness for any particular purpose.

These terms and the license are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic; the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction to settle any disputes arising from them.

These terms do not apply to Explicaire's trademarks and logos. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions of these terms, the Czech version prevails.
